Former UNIDA Members Resurface In HOUSE OF BROKEN PROMISES

June 23, 2005

What started out being three guys from the popular "stoner rock" band UNIDA — songwriter and guitarist Arthur Seay, drummer Mike Cancino, bass player Eddie Plasciencia — became a new, melodically charged, heartfelt, passionate four-piece band called HOUSE OF BROKEN PROMISES (HOBP).

UNIDA — who were fronted by former KYUSS lead singer John Garcia — had released the stoner classic "Coping With the Urban Coyote" on the Man's Ruin label. The strength of that release attracted the interest of mega rock producer Rick Rubin and they were signed to his American Recordings/Island Def Jam. The full-length album they made for American was never released due to record company politics, ultimately prompting guitarist Arthur Seay to put together HOBP.

Arthur Seay, the HOUSE's principal songwriter, is a master guitar player who commands the stage as if he was the lead singer. You can't take your eyes off him. Eddie and Mike form a solid storming rhythm section, and singer Michael Keeth has a voice that is not only powerful but beautiful. His deep and intense lyrics will grab anyone by the heart and soul. Put the four together and you have a powerhouse metal band with extraordinarily strong songs.

HOBP posess the determination and hard work ethic. They have just finished the rough tracks for their debut CD. The band plans a U.S. and European tour to support its release.

Check out the HOUSE OF BROKEN PROMISES songs "She's Got It", "Boundaries", "Silver Spoon", and "This One" at MySpace.com.
